Abstract:
The present invention discloses a device for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from a vessel, the device comprising: a seawater supply unit (110) for supplying seawater; an absorbent-liquid production unit (120) that manufactures and supplies a high-concentration CO2 absorbent liquid; an absorption tower (130) comprising a CO2 removing unit (131) that cools exhaust gas discharged from a vessel engine (10), by reaction of the exhaust gas with the seawater supplied from the seawater supply unit (110), and converts CO2 into an aqueous ammonium salt solution by reaction between the cooled exhaust gas and the absorbent liquid from the absorbent-liquid production unit (120) so as to remove CO2; an absorbent-liquid regeneration unit (140) that causes the aqueous ammonium salt solution discharged from the absorption tower (130) to react with an aqueous solution of divalent metal hydroxide to regenerate the absorbent liquid and NH3, and circulates and supplies same to the absorption tower (130) for reuse as an absorbent liquid; and an absorbent-liquid circulation unit (150) for circulating a portion of the ammonium salt aqueous solution and unreacted absorbent liquid which are discharged from the bottom of the absorption tower (130) to the top of the absorption tower (130) through an absorbent-liquid circulation line (A), wherein only a portion of the aqueous ammonium salt solution is converted into carbonate, and the remaining unreacted absorbent liquid is circulated to the absorption tower (130) to maintain a CO2 absorption rate.
