Description:
Device for room disinfection with an advantage of placement in a tile ceiling structure

Technical Field

The technical solution relates to a device for room disinfection using disinfection properties of ozone. It is suitable to be placed in a tile ceiling structure. It can be used for example in hospitals, laboratories, or other rooms where it is necessary to eliminate potential undesirable biological air pollution.

State of the Art

It is known that air can be in laboratories and other enclosed spaces purified by ozone by means of devices that are portable or are installed on room walls. These devices usually require operator interaction. In addition, devices used for sterilization of small instruments and tools that are placed on tables or other stands are known. Flowever, they do not have any automatic features that would allow for time programming for the time when no operator is present, thus eliminating potential danger for operators. In particular, no devices for biological purification by ozone that would be easily placeable in a ceiling structure are known.

Summary of the Technical Solution

The mentioned drawbacks are largely eliminated by a device for room disinfection with an advantage of placement in a tile ceiling structure according to this technical solution. Its essence lies in the fact that it comprises at least one disinfection set. Every disinfection set comprises at least one ozone generator, which is provided with at least one fan on the input side, and also with at least one fan on the output side. Further, the device comprises a control unit, which is electrically connected to the ozone generator. The essence of the technical solution is also that the control unit is connected to the fans. Further, it is essential that it comprises a remote control formed with a remote-control receiver connected to the control unit and an external remote controller. In addition, it is essential that the device is dimension-compatible with openings of the tile ceiling structure. At the same time, it is essential that it comprises a display connected to the control unit. The essence of the device is that it comprises an indicator of operation connected to the control unit. In addition, it is essential that it comprises an ozone concentration measuring element connected to the control unit. Last but not least, it is essential that it comprises a pass-through air filter. Finally, it is essential that its corpus is made from aluminum or plastic.

Description of Drawings

Technical solution is in more detail clarified by drawings.

Fig. 1 shows a typical connection of a device for room disinfection in an embodiment to be placed in a tile ceiling structure shown in a block diagram. It comprises one disinfection set, formed with two fans at the input and two fans at the output of ozone generators. There are two ozone generators, and they are in a parallel connection. The fans are also parallel connected in such way that the two fans at the input blow air into both ozone generators, and both fans at the output together blow the air from both ozone generators into the room. The device is not provided with a display or with an indicator indicating operation thereof. It is mounted in the room ceiling where it replaces one tile with dimensions of ca. 600 mm x 600 mm.

Fig. 2 shows a block diagram of another embodiment of a device for room disinfection in an embodiment to be placed in a tile ceiling structure. The device comprises one disinfection set. Only one ozone generator, one fan at the input and one fan at the output are used. The device is not provided with a display, only with an indicator indicating operation thereof. It is mounted in the room ceiling where it replaces one tile with dimensions of ca. 600 mm x 600 mm. The device comprises only one ozone source.

Fig. 3 shows a device for room disinfection in an embodiment to be placed in a tile ceiling structure in a block diagram, in a different embodiment. It consists of two disinfection sets, each of them comprises one ozone generator and two fans at its input and two fans at its output. There is one control unit and it controls all elements of this device. The device is provided with a display. The device is mounted in the room ceiling where it replaces one tile with dimensions of ca. 600 mm x 600 mm. Exemplary Embodiments of the Technical Solution

For biological disinfection of air in an operating room with a tile ceiling, it is decided to additionally install a device for disinfection by ozone according to this technical solution. The device is illustrated in Fig. 1.

A square corpus of 600 mm x 600 mm is made of plastic, which corresponds to the dimensions of ceiling tiles of the already installed tile ceiling in the operating room. Two parallel connected ozone generators 1 of the known structure are located on the corpus, which are connected with their inputs and also connected with their outputs. At the input of such parallel connected two ozone generators 1 two parallel connected fans 2 are placed. In addition, two parallel connected fans 2 are placed at the output of connected ozone generators 1_. The device also includes a control unit 4 connected to both a first and a second ozone generator 1 and all four fans 2.

Further, the device comprises an indicator 8 indicating operation thereof and a display 7 which displays the device operation data . The device for room disinfection is further equipped with a remote control with an externally placed remote controller 5 and its corresponding receiver 6, placed directly in the device corpus. The control unit 4 is connected to the display 7 and the remote-control receiver 6. The device also includes a measuring element 3 which measures ozone concentration in the room. It is connected to the control unit 4. Due to the device corpus dimensions, the installation is simple, performed by removing one tile from the tile ceiling structure with dimensions of 600 mm x 600 mm, which is then replaced by a dimension-identical device according to this technical solution.

The function of the device according to this technical solution is as follows:

The control unit 4 is programmed by the remote controller 5 so that the device for room disinfection is in operation only for the suitable time when the operating room is not used, since the presence of ozone is not desirable when the operators are present in the operating room. Parallel duplication of ozone generators 1 serves to increase the ozone production, wherein optionally only one ozone generator 1 can be switched on by the control unit 4, which decreases overall device performance. Fans 2 at the input of the disinfection set draw the air out of the room and push it to the ozone generators I. In order to provide more silent operation, two smaller fans 2 are used. Two more silent fans 2 are used at the output as well which draw the air from the ozone generators 1 and blow ozone to the operating room. The measuring element 3 measures ozone concentration in the room. When inadmissible level is exceeded, the control unit 4 to which it is connected performs necessary intervention, for example switches off one of the ozone generators 1 or switches off the whole device.

In another exemplary embodiment shown in Fig. 2 a simpler version of the device for room disinfection is used, in which the disinfection set consists of only one fan 2 on the input side of the ozone generator 1 and of one fan 2 on the output side of the ozone generator 1. The device is provided with an indicator 8 of operation, connected with the control unit 4. A pass-through air filter is installed on the input side for air filtration and removal of mechanical impurities.

The function of the device is analogous to the one in the first exemplary embodiment. Industrial Applicability

A device for room disinfection with an advantage of placement in a tile ceiling structure can be used anywhere where it is required to perform disinfection of space by ozone. It can be installed in any rooms. Its advantage lies in easy, additional placement in a tile ceiling structure, which is commonly used in laboratories, hospitals, and offices.
