Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for stimulating bone growth, especially for the osteosynthesis of bone fragments and/or for fixing bone fractures. Said device comprises at least one piezoelectric element (18) which is associated with an implant (10) or a similar bone fixing means and produces electrical pulses, under the effect of forces, which are used as stimulants for the bone growth. The at least one piezoelectric element (18) is an integral part of the implant (10).
