Abstract:
Disclosed is a diagnosis device for a passenger conveyer, which can efficiently perform diagnosis of braking performance, while ensuring precision of the diagnosis. The diagnosis device for a passenger conveyer that diagnoses braking performance of the passenger conveyer includes an operation control unit (18) that controls a brake (17) provided to a reducer (10) and a motor (9) that imparts power to the reducer (10). The operation control unit (18) causes the motor (9) to generate a torque that is set in accordance with a value for braking distance serving as a reference for braking performance while maintaining a braking state of the brake (17), and determines therefrom whether or not there is any irregularity in braking performance, on the basis of whether or not rotation of a rotational shaft of the reducer (10) occurs.
