Abstract:
A diameter expanding device for pipes used in heat exchangers, comprising support pillars (19a) installed on a base (19), a stripper plate (9) having a stripper (9a) reciprocable longitudinally of the support pillar (19a) and adapted to depress the end plate (15a) of a heat exchanger (15) set on the base (19) to thereby set the projecting length of a pipe (16) projecting from the end plate (15a), reference bases (1) adapted to abut against the stripper plate (9) to stop the latter at a predetermined position, the reference bases (1) being movable back and forth along the support pillars (19a) and each mounted at a portion thereof on a guide bar (3) disposed on the support pillar (19a) so that it is slidable through a slide section (1a). In the diameter expanding device, the slide section (1a) positioned on the support pillar (19a) side has fixed thereto through a fixing means a slide body (1d) formed separate from a reference base main body (1A).
