Abstract:
This diamond-coated tool comprises a substrate and a diamond layer that coats the substrate, wherein: the diamond layer includes a first region in contact with the substrate; the first region includes a region S1 that is bounded by a boundary P between the substrate and the diamond layer, and by a virtual surface V1 for which the distance from the boundary P is 2 μm; and the region S1 has crystal grains subjected to crystal growth in random directions.
