A vertical diffuser tube in which the axial direction thereof is the vertical direction. The diffuser tube is provided with: a plurality of diffuser tube divided sections each having an air chamber divided into a cylindrical diffusing member obtained from a porous material, an upper-side partition plate for sealing an upper-side opening and an upper end of the diffusing member in an airtight manner, and a lower-side partition plate for sealing a lower-side opening and a lower end of the diffusing member in an airtight manner; and an air supply tube for connecting the plurality of diffuser tube divided sections in a vertical direction by passing through at least one of either the upper-side partition plate or the lower-side partition plate in each diffuser body divided section. The section of the air supply tube located in each air chamber is provided with at least one orifice passing from the interior of the air supply tube into the air chamber, and the diameter of the orifices connecting to the air chambers increases in size as the location thereof becomes lower. This diffuser tube can be installed even in a narrow space, and can uniformly discharge microbubbles from the entire diffuser tube.
