Title:
DIGITAL CLASS-D AUDIO AMPLIFIER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2002015393
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
A Class-D audio amplifier is disclosed which accepts a digitized audio signal input and drives a load such as a loudspeaker without digital-to-analog conversion. The amplifier preferably comprises (1) means for receiving a digitized audio signal in the form of a plurality of digital values, (2) means for pulse-width modulating a pulse waveform in accordance with the digital values, and (3) a demodulator operative on the modulated waveform to produce an analog representation of the digitized audio signal.
