Abstract:
This friction pad mounted on a disc brake is configured from: a back metal; and a lining that is attached to the back metal and is in frictional contact with a disc. An ear portion of the back metal is provided with a spring member that biases the friction pad toward a disc turn-out side. The spring member includes: an attachment part attached to the back metal; an extension part extending from an end portion of the attachment part in a direction in which the extension part diverges from the disc; and an abutting part which abuts a torque receiving surface at a position opposite to the disc with the ear portion therebetween, and receives a reaction force from the torque receiving surface, when the abutting part is folded from the extension part and extends in a direction in which the abutting part approaches the disc, and the ear portion and the torque receiving surface of the attachment member abut each other.
