Abstract:
A pad spring (14) has: a pair of support plate sections (15); a pair of pressure plate sections (16) that press protruding sections (11B) of a pad (10) towards each support plate section (15); and base plate sections (17) that couple each support plate section (15) and the pressure plate sections (16). The pressure plate sections (16) have: contact sections (16A) formed extending parallel to the disc axis direction, and in contact with the protruding sections (11B) of the pad (10); and folded back sections (16B) extending from the base plate sections (17), folded back part-way along, and joined to the contact sections (16A). The contact sections (16A) move in the disc axis direction together with the pad (10), if the folded back sections (16B) elastically deform in conjunction with the movement of the pad (10). Restraining sections (18) that restrict travel of at least a prescribed amount by the contact sections (16A) are provided in the base plate sections (17).
