Abstract:
The present application provides a discontinuous reception method and apparatus. The method comprises: receiving indication information sent by a network device, the indication information being used for indicating whether data arrives in advance or used for indicating whether data arrives in a lagging manner; and monitoring a physical downlink control channel according to the indication information. The solution ensures the reception of data that arrives in advance or arrives in a lagging manner due to jitter, mainly by monitoring a physical downlink control channel according to indication information when the indication information, sent by a network device, indicating whether data arrives in advance or arrives in a lagging manner is received, thereby preventing the loss of such data; and under this premise, there is no need to extend the duration of an on duration timer in connected-mode discontinuous reception in order to fully cover a jitter interval, and the effect of further saving power is achieved.
