Title:
DISPERSION OF HYDROTALCITE-LIKE COMPOUND AND FLAME-RESISTANT COATING USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/152279
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a dispersion that can impart excellent flame resistance even when the amount of deposit is small; and a flame-resistant coating using the dispersion. [Solution] This problem is solved by a dispersion including particles of a hydrotalcite-like compound containing a sulfur compound or a phosphorus compound. The average particle size of the particles is preferably in the range of 10 to 2500 nm. In addition, the hydrotalcite-like compound containing the sulfur compound or phosphorus compound is represented by the general formula [M2+ 1-xM3+ x(OH)2][An- x/n·mH2O] wherein, preferably, the host elements M2+ and M3+ are Mg and Al or Zn and Al, respectively, and the interlayer anion An- x/n is SO3NH2 -, S2O8 2-, SO3CF3 -, PO4 3-, or P2O7 4-. The flame-resistant coating is formed by coating the dispersion.
