Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to efficiently and reliably prevent a black-out phenomenon of a display panel in a display apparatus comprising the display panel, such as a liquid crystal panel, housed in a casing, the display apparatus allowing the viewing of an image or video displayed on the panel in the casing from the outside, the black-out phenomenon being caused by temperature increase due to exposure to direct sunlight or heat generated from the display panel. The display apparatus of the present invention is characterized by being provided with: a casing; a display panel (10) housed in the casing and configured to display an image or video; a viewing portion (6) formed in a part of the casing facing the display panel and made of a transparent member allowing the viewing of the inside of the casing; an air conditioner constituting a heat pump cycle; and cooling air supply means (46, 48) for circulating cooling air cooled by the evaporator of the air conditioner in a space (47) between the viewing portion and the display panel, from the top to the bottom of the display panel.
