Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent the flickering of a display screen when switching between a memory display mode in which an image signal is transferred to a display panel via memory, and a normal display mode in which an image signal is transferred to the display panel without using memory. An LCD controller (3) includes: a timing adjustment unit (33a) that adjusts the timing of an internal timing signal (TMG2) so that an external timing signal (TMG1) falls within a switching determination period which uses the internal timing signal (TMG2) as reference when switching between the normal display mode and the memory display mode; and a display mode switching unit (33c) that switches between the normal display mode and the memory display mode when the external timing signal (TMG1) falls within the switching determination period.
