Abstract:
The present invention comprises: an image data acquisition unit 42 which acquires surrounding area image data captured by cameras; a surrounding area information acquisition unit 43 which acquires surrounding area information indicating the state of the area surrounding a vehicle; a vehicle information acquisition unit 44 which acquires vehicle information including the vehicle speed of the vehicle; an image generation unit 45 which generates a display image on the basis of the surrounding area information or a surrounding area image; and a display control unit 49 which displays the display image generated by the image generation unit 45 on a display panel 31. If it is determined on the basis of the surrounding area information acquired by the surrounding area information acquisition unit 43 and the vehicle information acquired by the vehicle information acquisition unit 44 there is a possibility that the vehicle will impede the smooth passage of another vehicle, the display control unit 49 causes the display image, including information indicating the stop position of the vehicle to be displayed on the display panel 31.
