Abstract:
Provided is a display device comprising: a light guide plate 2 which can display a plurality of patterns (21-1 - 21-n); and a plurality of light sources (3-1 - 3-n) which illuminate mutually different patterns from among the plurality of patterns. A first light source (3-1) which illuminates a first pattern (21-1) comprises a plurality of light emitting elements 31 which are positioned in an arrangement along a light-entry surface 2a of the light guide plate 2. Each of a plurality of first prisms 11, which are formed on one surface 2b of the light guide plate 2, are arrayed along the first pattern, and cause light emitted from the first light source and entering the light guide plate to exit from a light exit surface, is formed such that the reflective surface thereof directly faces the corresponding light emitting element from among the plurality of light emitting elements and such that the order of the arrangement of the plurality of light emitting elements and the order of the arrangement of the corresponding first prisms are the reverse of each other.
