A television receiver (100) is provided with the following: a quantization-code acquisition unit (11) that acquires a quantization code (1) allocated to each of a plurality of blocks constituting an image; a correction-coefficient setting unit (12) that compares each quantization code with a threshold to set a correction coefficient (2) for correcting the luminance of the image; and a display control unit (13) that uses said correction coefficient to display the image using HDR correction.
