Abstract:
An aspect of the disclosed invention provides a display device and a method for manufacturing the same, in which sealing is achieved by inserting an end of a partition wall formed in a front electrode into an upper electrode in a gel state, so that the surface of an upper electrode substrate has excellent flatness and an excellent sealing effect. A display device according to an embodiment comprises: a first electrode module including a first electrode; a second electrode module which includes a second electrode and is arranged to be opposite to the first electrode module; a plurality of partition walls which are formed on the first electrode module and have ends inserted into the second electrode; a plurality of cavities formed by the first electrode module and the plurality of partition walls; and an electric field dependence layer which is formed in the plurality of cavities and has a characteristic changed by an electric field formed between the first electrode module and the second electrode module.
