Abstract:
The present invention is provided with a detection unit for detecting, from subtitle data, a subtitle display environment pertaining to a subtitle; an analysis unit for determining a subtitle display setting to be referenced when subtitle data is displayed on a display section on the basis of the sub title display environment detected by the detection unit; and a video conversion unit for changing display of the subtitle data on the basis of the subtitle display setting determined by the analysis unit.
