Abstract:

Disclosed is a display device, which can be provided as a final product for a television receiver and the like only by assembling a display panel and a backlight unit and has excellent workability in assembling the display panel to the backlight unit, while ensuring a large effective display region. The display device is provided with an LED (52), an LED substrate (51) having the LED (52) mounted thereon, the liquid crystal panel (11) which performs display using light emitted from the LED (52), a first cabinet (Ca) having the liquid crystal panel (11) attached thereto, a second cabinet (Cb) having the LED substrate (51) attached thereto, and a reflecting sheet (60) which can reflect light emitted from the LED (52). The first cabinet (Ca) and the second cabinet (Cb) are engaged with each other, the first cabinet (Ca) and the second cabinet (Cb) form an outer casing that constitutes the external appearance of the liquid crystal display device (10), and the reflecting sheet (60) is disposed on the inner surface of the second cabinet (Cb) by being supported by means of the LED substrate (51).
