Abstract:
Disclosed is a display device, which can be provided as a final product for a television receiver and the like only by assembling a display panel and a backlight unit, and furthermore, has excellent workability in assembling the panel to the backlight unit, while ensuring a large effective display region. The display device (100) is provided with the light source (50), the display panel (11) which performs display using light emitted from the light source (50), a first cabinet (Ca) having the display panel (11) attached thereto, and a second cabinet (Cb) having the light source (50) attached thereto. The first cabinet (Ca) and the second cabinet (Cb) are engaged with each other, and the first cabinet (Ca) and the second cabinet (Cb) form an outer casing that constitutes the external appearance of the display device (100).
