Abstract:
The present invention suitably displays OSD displays such as menus for a display and each piece of connected equipment, which is connected thereto and for which responsive operations are possible, on that display. A display device (30) acquires a type for a transmission side OSD image that a transmission device (10) superimposes on a transmission side OSD superimposition image signal and determines whether or not to superimpose a display side OSD image on a display side OSD superimposition image signal that is to be displayed according to the type of the transmission side OSD image acquired and the type of the display side OSD image.
