Abstract:
The present invention relates to a display device for a vehicle, which displays an image of a virtual driving road on a road being driven on by a vehicle, on the basis of the road being driven on by the vehicle and trajectory information due to a driving movement of the vehicle, and a control method therefor. The display device for a vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a display unit; and a control unit for receiving an image of a road being driven on by the vehicle and trajectory information due to a driving movement of the vehicle, detecting a lane of the road being driven on by the vehicle from the received image of the road, assigning weights respectively to the detected lane and a trajectory of the vehicle on the basis of a preset reference value, generating, on the basis of a result of the assigning of the weights, a virtual road image representing the road being driven on by the vehicle, and controlling the display unit to display the generated virtual road image.
