Abstract:
The present invention provides a display device capable of suppressing the unevenness in reflection luminance due to reflection of external light onto the surface of a display and improving visibility of a display image. In order to prevent unevenness in reflection luminance due to reflection of external light onto the surface of the display in the display device, the display device according to an embodiment of the present invention corrects the display luminance of a display image on the display to suppresses the unevenness. That is, the display device corrects the display luminance of the display image for each pixel so that the combined display luminance (MDB) formed by adding the reflection luminance on the display surface and the display luminance of the display image is in accordance with a constant characteristic curve (OMDBC) regardless of the reflection luminance (R).
