Abstract:
Provided is a display device which is suppressed in the occurrence of defects due to etching. A display device which comprises a plurality of pixels that are composed of a plurality of sub-pixels, each comprising a circuit layer, a planarization film which is provided with a plurality of through holes, a connection electrode which is connected to the source via a through hole, and a lower electrode which is electrically connected to the connection electrode, while being patterned by means of an etching liquid. This display device is characterized in that: a plurality of non-effective areas, in each of which a plurality of through holes are arranged in the flowing direction of the etching liquid, and a plurality of effective areas, in each of which the lower electrode is arranged, are contained therein; and the plurality of through holes contained in one non-effective area include at least one through hole that is provided with a connection electrode which is connected to a lower electrode that is arranged on one side of the flowing direction of the etching liquid and at least one through hole that is provided with a connection electrode which is connected to a lower electrode that is arranged on the other side of the flowing direction of the etching liquid.
