Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to improve the direct-current insulation capacity of a gas circuit breaker. The invention is a bi-directionally driven gas circuit breaker comprising, within a gas tank, a pair of main contactors disposed facing one another so as to be capable of pole-opening and pole-closing operations, and a pair of arc contactors provided respectively on the same axis as the main contactors on the inner diameter side thereof, and disposed facing one another so as to be capable of the pole-opening and pole-closing operations. In this gas circuit breaker, an elastic conducting material is provided on the outer peripheral surface of an insulation nozzle facing the inner periphery of the main contactors.
