Abstract:
Provided is a display device whereby it is possible to satisfactorily switch between a transparent state and a scattering state. This display device is provided with a first substrate, a second substrate having a shared electrode, and a display function layer partially switched between a transparent state and a scattering state. The first substrate has a first scanning line, a first signal line, an insulation layer, a first switching element, and a first pixel electrode. The first signal line has a first joining part extending in a second direction, and a first wire part which extends in the second direction and is electrically connected to the first joining part. The first scanning line intersects with the first joining part, and is provided in the same layer as the first wire part. The insulation layer is interposed between the first joining part and the first scanning line.
