Abstract:
The purpose of an embodiment is to provide a display device in which the area contributing to display is increased. According to an embodiment, a display device is provided with: a base material; a switching element disposed over the base material; a first insulating layer disposed over the base material and having a first contact hole extending through to the switching element; a conductive material filled in the first contact hole; a lower electrode disposed over the first insulating layer and in contact with the conductive material; an organic layer stacked on the lower electrode, the organic layer including a hole injection layer on top of the lower electrode, a hole transport layer on top of the hole injection layer, and a light emitting layer on top of the hole transport layer; an upper electrode stacked on the organic layer; and a coating layer covering an end surface of each of the lower electrode, the hole injection layer, and the hole transport layer.
