Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a display device capable of maintaining display performance even when an image is visually recognized in an inclined state. [Solution] A display device according to an embodiment comprises a light reflective image display layer, and an elliptically polarizing plate having a polarizer, a λ/2 part, and a λ/4 part. The λ/2 part is a laminate in which a first retarder element, a second retarder element, a second retarder element, and a first retarder element are laminated. When the in-plane retardation at a wavelength of 550 nm of a projection surface having an inclination angle of 45° with respect to the thickness direction of the image display layer is denoted by ReM45, and the in-plane retardation at a wavelength of 550 nm of the λ/4 part is denoted by ReoQ, and a ρ coefficient (ρ) of the image display layer is expressed by equation (A), an Nz coefficient (Nz) of the λ/4 part and the ρ coefficient (ρ) satisfy a relationship indicated by equation (B).
