Abstract:
This display equipment: comprises a display unit that projects an image on a light-permeable display member; and forms a virtual image of the image projected by the display unit, on the opposite side to the user-side of the display member. The display unit is configured by housing, inside a case having an opening for emitting projected light, the display device that displays images and a projection optical system that projects the image displayed in the display device on to the display member. In the optical path from the display device to the opening, the projection optical system comprises a first reflective member arranged on the display device side and a second reflective member arranged on the opening side. A reflective surface in the first reflective member, that reflects images displayed on the display device, has a convex surface shape and a reflective surface in the second reflective member, that projects images on to the display member, is formed in a free-form concave surface shape. In addition the first reflective member and the second reflective member are arranged so as to fulfil 0.2 < D12/Lv < 1.3, when the vertical length of the virtual image of the image is Lv and the interval in a central optical path between the first reflective member and the second reflective member is D12.
