Abstract:
Provided is a display information generating device for displaying information for use in guiding a mobile body so that the information can be more intuitively and immediately understood. A navigation device (SS) provided with a display (6) that moves with a vehicle, wherein on the basis of position information indicating the position of the vehicle, distance information is obtained that indicates the distance from the position of the vehicle to facilities on both sides of the road, and condition information is obtained that is associated with discrimination conditions for the display of icons displaying facilities anew. On the basis of position information, distance information, and condition information, a display data generating unit (3) causes icons indicating facilities and associated with condition information to be displayed, on a display (6), arranged in order of appearance following the movement of the vehicle. In this case, the display data generating unit (3) displays icons on the display (6) in such a manner that the visibility of icons indicating facilities having characteristics that don't match the discrimination conditions associated with the condition information is set lower than the visibility of icons indicating facilities having characteristics that match the discrimination conditions.
