Abstract:
A display panel (100A) comprises: a substrate (10); plurality of pixel electrodes (32) supported on the substrate; a plurality of switching TFTs (Ts) each respectively connected to one of the plurality of pixel electrodes; a plurality of scan lines (22) each respectively connected to one of the plurality of switching TFTs; a plurality of signal lines (26) each respectively connected to one of the plurality of switching TFTs; and, for each pixel, a first semiconductor island (20A1L) and second semiconductor island (20A1R) formed between a main scan line (22M) and the substrate, and/or a third semiconductor island (20B1U) and fourth semiconductor island (20B1D) formed between a main signal line (26M) and the substrate. The first and second semiconductor islands have a portion protruding in the width direction of the main scan line when viewed from the normal direction of the substrate, and the third and fourth semiconductor islands have a portion protruding in the width direction of the main signal line when viewed from the normal direction of the substrate.
