Abstract:
A distance measuring device that measures the distance from an object. The distance measuring device is provided with: a radiation unit; a reception unit; a housing; a radiation window (45); a reception window (47); a heater wire for the radiation window; and a covering layer for the radiation window. The radiation unit irradiates radiated light. The reception unit receives reflected light generated by the radiated light being reflected by an object. The housing accommodates the radiation unit and the reception unit. The radiation window is provided to the housing. The radiation window is configured such that the radiated light passes there-through. The reception window is provided to the housing. The reception window is configured such that reflected light heading to toward the reception unit passes there-through. The heater wire for the radiation window heats the radiation window. The covering layer for the radiation window covers the heater wire for the radiation window. The covering layer for the radiation window is less likely to reflect radiated light and reflected light than the heater wire for the radiation window.
