Abstract:
A door engagement device for an elevator is configured in such a manner that a pivoting preventive force for preventing a lever body from pivoting is applied to the lever body by a pressing force applying and changing means and that, by the operation of a pivoting guiding means caused by the movement of the car door, the direction of a pressing force is changed to the direction in which the pressing force acts in the direction opposite the direction of the pivoting preventive force applied to the lever body. An engagement mechanism driving device can be driven at low cost and using a minimum space.
