Provided is a network system wherein a route that does not pass through a node for which detour instructions have been given is calculated and set allowing detouring around the node ,and for maintenance to be carried out thereat. The network system comprises a controller (20) and a plurality of nodes (10) whereupon the controller (20) exercises flow control , wherein the controller (20) removes the node to be detoured around from topology information, which prescribes a node's network configuration, for the node to be detoured around, calculates a new route that does not pass through the node to be detoured around, generates flow information, which prescribes the actions to be taken for a node's flow, for nodes that form the route, and sets the flow information onto the nodes on the route.
