Abstract:
A double-chamber heat treating furnace, comprising a sealable cooling furnace incorporating a cooling chamber cooling a heated material to be treated, a sealable heating furnace incorporating a heating chamber adjacent to the cooling chamber and heating the material to be treated, and a carrying apparatus carrying the material to be treated between the heating chamber and the cooling chamber. The carrying apparatus further comprises a plurality of free rollers disposed in the heating chamber and the cooling chamber and supporting only the lateral both ends of the material to be treated movably in the carrying direction, a push-pull member pushing and pulling the material to be treated by moving while being engaged with the material to be treated, and a drive device installed adjacent to the heating chamber on the opposite side of the cooling chamber and moving the push-pull member.
