Title:
DOUBLE-KNOCKOUT NON-HUMAN MODEL ANIMAL FOR RNA INTERFERENCE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/102516
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The object is to provide a double-knockout non-human animal which can cause RNA interference with double-stranded RNA in an mammal and use of the animal. A double-knockout non-human animal lacking the functions of RIG-I and MDA5 which are normally expressed in a wild-type one is prepared by deleting a gene encoding RIG-I and a gene encoding MDA5 or causing the mutation in these genes, and is used for RNA interference. The non-human model animal can cause RNA interference induced by long double-stranded RNA having a 30-nucleotide length or longer.
