Abstract:

A double-shell tank comprising: an inner tank having an inner tank main body and an inner tank dome; an inner tank manhole; an outer tank having an outer tank main body and an outer tank dome, said outer tank main body surrounding the inner tank main body across a first vacuum space and said outer tank dome surrounding the inner tank dome across a second vacuum space; an outer tank manhole; bellows incorporated in the outer tank dome so as to divide the outer tank dome into a lower fixed section and an upper movable section; an inner ring fixed to the inner tank dome inside the second vacuum space; an outer ring fixed to the movable section of the outer tank dome inside the second vacuum space and being positioned lower than the inner ring; and a cylindrical partitioning wall that links the inner ring and the outer ring and partitions the second vacuum space into an upper vacuum space and a lower vacuum space. The thickness of a center section of the partitioning wall is less than the thickness of both end sections of the partitioning wall.
