Description:
Downhole piston pump for hydrocarbons exploitation

Description:

The invention is related to a linear downhole piston pump for the exploitation of hydrocarbons and is used in the extraction of hydrocarbons from the productive layers of oil wells by sucker roads

A linear pump is known according to the invention RO no. 116665B which does not remove the most common deficiencies of the pumps such as, piston or cylinder wear, valve seat wear or valve sealing wear.

In the present case, the invention solves the technical issues by coming up with a number of modifications designed to increase the operating time of the pump relative to the pump related to the patent RO no. 116665B:

- the sealing box of the pump is modified in the sense that a spherical joint is added to protect the sealing nuts from the polished rod.

- the six-ball multiple discharge valve is changed in order to guide the balls and springs that press on the seat, with the possibility of adjusting the valve opening.

- the sealing and fixing system of the pump is modified in the fixing nipple, in the tubing, by the efficiency of the system of adjustment and ensuring the adjustment of the seals

- the piston with seals of the pump is modified with one that has protection when locking the seals in the cylinder due to the direct pressure of the pressure on them, providing for the possibility of optimal regulation and assurance of the friction of the seals inside the cylinder, this realizing during operation a minimum friction, also provided with an adapter that allows the change if necessary with a metal piston.

The downhole piston pump according to the invention eliminates fluid losses around the polished rod or couple cylinder - piston by using a spherical joint seal box, composed of a drive head which is mounted on the polished rod of piston drive, which passes through a guide nut, made of graphite bronze, and through other nine sealing nuts through the channels to which special oil-resistant grease is introduced, all nuts leans on a socket, supported by another nut, adjustable guide and thread in a shell in which the spherical bolt secured by a nut is screwed, and the multiple discharge valve is formed by a support on which the valve seat is mounted, six balls, a spring block, six adjusting nuts, six springs, six spring guides, one closing flange fitted with adjusting pins and dampers and one spherical guide: the new type of piston reduces friction and reduces cylinder-piston losses by mounting a wiper with two elastic rings and a reduction of adjustment of the piston to which the piston rod is fitted with seals and a threaded nuts that protects the seals from the inside pump pressures, then 36 seals of the piston rod, adjusted with 36 rings fixed by a nuts and secured with a nut, on the upper part of the piston rod with seals is mounted the cage with the valve seat and the ball, the whole assembly being fixed with a screw that secures with a nut.

Ail these changes are made in order to create some advantages, as:

- increase the operating time between two consecutive interventions in case of replacement or repair of the pump.

- gives the possibility of easier balancing of the beam pumping unit.

- energy advantage: saves 60% of the electricity used in other conventional piston pumps.

- increases the flow of extracted hydrocarbons by 10%, due to the lack of buckling of the rods at the downstream stroke, in fact increasing the piston stroke.

The following is an example of a linear downhole piston pump for hydrocarbons expoitation in relation to figures 1 ,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, which represents:
