Title:
DRIVE-BY-WIRE BRAKE ACTING THROUGH MOTOR IN COMBINATION WITH MAGNETOSTRICTION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/120786
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A drive-by-wire brake acting through a motor in combination with magnetostriction, consisting of a motor (101), a transmission mechanism (104), a magnetostrictive drive piston mechanism (114), and a floating caliper disc type mechanism (115). The transmission mechanism (104) consists of a planetary gear train (105) and a threaded screw (110). Driven by the motor (101), linear movement of a sleeve (113) is achieved by means of transmission of the planetary gear train (105) and the threaded screw (110). The sleeve (113) drives a piston head (10) in an axially telescopic magnetostrictive drive piston mechanism (114) to move linearly. The piston head (10) pushes a braking plate (118) in the floating caliper disc type mechanism (115) for braking. According to the drive-by-wire brake acting through a motor in combination with magnetostriction, the motor and magnetostriction are used for implementing combined braking. The problems that a motor drive-by-wire brake is slow in response and poor in precision, and locked-rotor are solved, and the problem that a magnetostriction type brake is poor in mechanical performance is also solved.
