Abstract:
A drive mechanism for a supercharger of a V-type engine, in which a supercharger is disposed between V-banks of the V-type engine, the drive mechanism being configured so as to be equipped with: an output portion of a crankshaft which extends from one end surface disposed on one side of the V-type engine in the axial direction; a rotary input shaft which protrudes from the supercharger and extends beyond the one end surface of the V-type engine; and an endless first power transmission member which is disposed along and adjacent to the one end surface of the V-type engine and wound between the rotary input shaft and the output portion of the crankshaft so as to transmit power from the crankshaft to the rotary input shaft.
