Abstract:
A driving assist system equipped with a given vehicle speed sensor, an adjacent vehicle speed sensor, and a control device, wherein the control device causes constant speed travel to occur by keeping the speed of the given vehicle in a constant speed range from a lower-limit value to an upper-limit value which are set using a target speed as a reference, and when the given vehicle is traveling in a passing lane and an adjacent vehicle is traveling in a cruising lane, the control devices implements a speed-increase adjustment so as to increase the speed of the given vehicle in the range up to the upper-limit value when the relative speed of the adjacent vehicle compared to the given vehicle falls within a set range.
