Abstract:
The present technology relates to a driving device, a driving method, and a light-emitting device that make it possible to suitably drive a light-emitting element. A driving device according to the present technology is provided with: a setting unit that performs setting for at least one of a bias current for a light-emitting element and a target current for setting light radiated from the light-emitting element to a desired intensity on the basis of the result of detecting, by a light-receiving element that receives a portion of the radiated light, an offset light level during a period in which the light-emitting element is not emitting light; and an output control unit that controls the output of a driving current for the light-emitting element on the basis of at least one of the set bias current and target current. For example, the present technology is applicable to a rangefinding module. The present invention relates to a driving device, a driving method, and a light-emitting device that make it possible to suitably drive a light-emitting element. A driving device according to the present invention is provided with: a setting unit (161) that performs setting for at least one of a bias current for a light-emitting element (LD121) and a target current for setting light radiated from the light-emitting element (LD121) to a desired intensity on the basis of the result of detecting, by a light-receiving element (PD122) that receives a portion of the radiated light, an offset light level during a period in which the light-emitting element (LD121) is not emitting light; and an output control unit (164) that controls the output of a driving current for the light-emitting element (LD121) on the basis of at least one of the set bias current and target current. For example, the present invention is applicable to a rangefinding module.
