Abstract:
The present invention proposes a driving force transmission mechanism capable of preventing damage to an oil chamber when an increase in an internal pressure of the oil chamber due to an impact applied when work rolls are changed causes the damage to the oil chamber. This driving force transmission mechanism transmits power of a driving source to a work roll via a spindle, comprises a first gear portion provided to one end portion of the spindle, a second gear portion provided to the driving source or the work roll and fitted to the first gear portion, and an oil chamber that supplies a lubricating oil to the first gear portion and the second gear portion, and is characterized in that the oil chamber comprises a first valve that discharges inside air of the oil chamber to the outside of the oil chamber and a second valve that introduces outside air into the oil chamber.
