Abstract:
An object detection device (10) comprises an object detection unit (32) that detects, as a first object, an object within the range of a detection area (Rfl, Rrl, Rfr, Rrr) of a probe wave sensor (21) installed in a vehicle on the basis of a detection result from the probe wave sensor. The object detection device comprises a movement detection unit (33) that detects the movement of a second object in an area of interest (RL, RR) on the basis of a detection result from a detection device (22) that successively detects, as the second object, an object within the range of the area of interest, the area of interest being set to an area that includes the detection area. The object detection device comprises an object identification unit (34) that identifies the first object as a moving object if the movement of the second object is detected by the movement detection unit and the first and second objects are the same.
