Abstract:
Provided is a driving machine in which operability of an operation member can be improved. A driving machine (10) is provided with: a trigger (14) that is provided to a housing (11) and operates in an application direction (E1) and a release direction (E2); a striking part that is supported by the housing (11) and is operable in a first direction in which a fastener is driven; an activation part that, when the trigger (14) operates in the application direction (E1), causes the striking part to operate in the first direction; and a contact member that is provided to be operable with respect to the housing (11) and can come into contact with or separate from a mating material into which the fastener is driven, wherein an auxiliary mechanism (85) that enables application and non-application of biasing force with respect to the trigger (14) in the release direction (E2), is provided. The auxiliary mechanism (85) has: a first state where, when the trigger (14) operates in the application direction (E1), biasing force in the release direction (E2) is not applied to the trigger (14); and a second state where, when the trigger (14) operates in the release direction (E2), biasing force in the release direction (E2) is applied.
