Abstract:
A driving support device (10) is provided with: an acquiring unit (11) which acquires a lateral position, a lateral speed and a lateral acceleration of another vehicle; a first determining unit (12) which determines that the other vehicle, being driven in an adjacent lane, is moving toward the host vehicle lane, on the basis of the lateral position and the lateral speed of the other vehicle; a second determining unit (12) which, if movement of the other vehicle has been determined by the first determining unit, determines whether the lateral acceleration of the other vehicle has increased to the negative side in the host vehicle lane; and a driving support unit (13) which, if it has been determined by the second determining unit that the lateral acceleration of the other vehicle has increased to the negative side, sets the other vehicle as a target vehicle for driving support in the host vehicle lane, while if it has been determined by the first determining unit that the other vehicle is moving toward the host vehicle lane and it has been determined by the second determining unit that the lateral acceleration of the other vehicle is not increasing to the negative side, does not set the other vehicle as a target vehicle for driving support in the host vehicle lane.
