Abstract:
Provided are a drug identification device, an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program which appropriately determine whether identification information provided to a drug is provided by imprinting or printing. This image processing device is provided with: an acquisition unit which acquires a plurality of images of a drug having identification information provided to the surface by imprinting or printing, said plurality of images having been obtained using different directions for the direction in which the surface of the drug is irradiated with light; an image comparison unit which compares each of the plurality of images; and a determination unit for determining whether the identification information is provided by imprinting or printing in accordance with the comparison results from the image comparison unit.
