This drug packaging device is provided with an inspection unit which inspects solid drugs supplied from a supply unit, and with a packaging unit which packages solid drugs that have been inspected. The inspection unit is provided with a base platform, multiple storage containers which have a bottom portion and which temporarily store solid drugs, a holding platform which is provided so as to be capable of moving with respect to the base platform and which holds the multiple storage containers, a drive unit which drives movement of the holding base such that each of the held storage containers is moved between an introduction position for introducing the solid drug from the supply unit and a discharge position for discharging the solid drug into the packaging unit, an imaging unit which images solid drugs present in the storage container, a vibration mechanism which, provided on the base platform, vibrates the bottom portion of the storage container prior to imaging by the imaging unit, and a determination unit which, on the basis of an image obtained by the imaging unit, determines whether or not the solid drugs inside of each of the storage containers matches prescription data.
