Abstract:
A drum-type washing machine (100) is provided with: a drum (3) which is rotatably supported by a horizontal or inclined rotating shaft (14) and which receives laundry (18); a water tank (2) which houses the drum (3); and a drive motor (12) which rotates and drives the drum (3). The washing machine (100) is further provided with: a ball balancer (88) which is disposed at an end of the drum (3) and which has an annular container for housing fluid and rolling bodies (9); and protrusions which are formed on the inner peripheral surface side of the annular container and which generate drag in the fluid.
